Ontario Cities

Four regions make up the GTA, and within these regions are cities and towns that make up the Greater Toronto Area. Below you’ll find each Region, with a brief outline of the major towns and cities that are part of that region:

City of Toronto: Toronto is at the heart of the Greater Toronto Area (the GTA), and part of the “Golden Horseshoe” which has a total populace of approximately 8.1 million people

York Region: Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Markham, Newmarket, Vaughan, Whitchurch-Stouffville

Durham Region: Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Oshawa, Pickering, Scugog, Uxbridge, Whitby

Peel Region: Brampton, Caledon, Mississauga

Halton Region: Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, Oakville

Southwestern Ontario is a large part of Southern Ontario, with a large part of Ontario’s population, fertile farmland, bustling cities, and some of Canada’s mildest climates.   That includes      London, St Thomas and Windsor Area.
